We left for
Paris on August 26th and arrived around 4pm and easily found our way to the metro and arrived at our hotel.
Our room wasn’t much more than a very tiny room with a bed and a sink.
The room was also unfortunately on the street and had no A/C so it was either hear the constant noise from the street all night or sleep in a very hot room.
We coped with it though and it was just more incentive to be out in the

city as much as possible.
That first night we went walking around the area near our hotel to check out what was close by. We walked towards the water and through the Jardin du Luxembourg which was a really pretty park that had fountains and a huge palace at the end of it. We walked on and then came upon the front of Notre Dame, where we sat for a while just looking at the beautiful church and also watching all the people gathering and taking pictures in front of it. That night we ate at a restaurant on the street and got our first taste of how expensive, although good, the food in Paris would be.
